Inhibits glycation in the skin around the eyes. Glycation normally causes abnormal and disorganized crosslinking in the collagen fibers which causes the skin to be less elastic

Decreases the permeability of the blood vessels in the area and, thereby, decreases the amount of fluid that can accumulate in the periocular area.
